Knights of Columbus
On Saturday March 17th, St. Anthony's Knights of Columbus held their annual St. Patrick's Day Dinner and Social. The Knights served their mouth watering Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner with all the trimmings. There was a Reverse Draw Raffle, with the main prize being $1,000.00. A lot of people were sitting there waiting to hear when their number would be called. It finally came down to the last two. Would they decide to split the $1,000.00 or would they decide to go for it. Well they went for it and Agnus Laufer won the $1,000.00. CONGRATULATIONS AGNUS!!!!!!!!
For several years this event has generated enough profits so that our council has been able to award four to five $500.00 Scholarships per year to parishioners and their children for college.

Bishop's Appeal - 2007
To Teach and to Serve:
Once a year our Bishop asks Catholics to look beyond their own parishes and help neighboring East Bay Catholics by contributing to the Bishop's Appeal. The Bishop's Appeal not only helps share our blessings with the poorer parishes, but also provides for those needs hared by all parishes - vacations, lay ministry, priest retirement, CYO and yourth programs. Please help your parish meet its Bishop's Appeal goal. This is a way to become modern Disciples of Christ.
Our 2007 Goal is $15,609. We have raised $8,357.00 to date.

That’s how much money our Community Center Building Fund has put in the bank from Pledges redeemed and from Fundraisers held.
We still have a ways to go before we realize our Dream. But we are well on the way. Is there anything that can stop us now?

All we have to do is keep on keepin’ on, taking advantage of every opportunity to grow our Community Center Building Fund.
